MRC Pump Priming Awards for preliminary research using IMPC knockout mice

This is the second and final call for pump-priming awards

Up to £500k is available and they expect to make between 12 to 25 awards.

These will be of 1 to 2 years’ duration and for £20k to £40k in value.

TKL & 100k Genomes Project: Genomics in Medicine Training – BOOKING NOW OPEN

There is a significant need for education on genomics amongst healthcare professionals; a basic understanding on the current molecular diagnostics offer is essential prior to the adoption of genomic-based medicine. The Nottingham Molecular Pathology Node (NMPN) and the 100K Genome Project are running a series of training days for consultants to introduce genomic medicine and the 100K Genome Project.

Molecular Diagnostics at Newcastle-Node Industry event

The Node recently took part in the Newcastle University NAHP Industry Month with a day-long event to showcase Node-related work. The title for the event was ‘Molecular Diagnostics at Newcastle’ and it was held on the 2nd March 2017.

The purpose of the event was to bring industry together with the Node research community to identify potential collaboration opportunities around molecular diagnostics and image analysis.
